How to mute Windows 10 on schedule

Windows 10 has a built-in task scheduling app that you can use to run scripts on schedule or on certain events. If you know how to write a script, you can use a scheduled task to set up all kinds of automated events and actions.

The event triggers in the task scheduler are rather limited, and likewise, the actions that can be triggered are also limited unless you use a script. This basically means that in most cases, the task scheduler is as useful as the script you have to go with it.

Mute Windows 10 on schedule

In the absence of a script or app that you can trigger from Task Scheduler, you will have to resort to other automation apps that specialize in automating a particular type of event on Windows 10.

Conclusion

MultiTimer allows users to add as many instances of an event as they like. Depending on what works for you, the  On/Off and Toggle options can both be used. Toggle will always change the state of the sound while On/Off will make sure the system sound is in a particular state.

If you often forget to mute your system late at night, or early when you start work, this is a good way to automate it. You must have the app running in order for it to mute/unmute system sound.
