To Gradient Fill Shapes in Publisher, users should first launch Publisher and select a new blank document. Then, click the Shapes button on the Insert tab and select a shape. A Shape Format tab will appear, where users can click the Shape Fill button and hover over Gradient to choose from Light Variations or Dark Variations.
