How to Modify Image Thumbnail Size on Windows 11/10

Are you looking to adjust the size of thumbnails for your images on your Windows 11/10 PC? Thumbnails are small representations of larger photos or videos that help you quickly identify the images you are searching for. Windows provides a feature to adjust the size of these thumbnails, which can be done using two methods: through the View options in File Explorer or by using Registry Editor. To change the thumbnail size using View options, open File Explorer, navigate to the target image folder, click on the View option, and select the desired thumbnail size. For Windows 10 users, follow the same steps but choose a suitable thumbnail size from the Layout section. To change the thumbnail size using Registry Editor, open Registry Editor, navigate to ComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer, create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value named ThumbnailSize if it does not exist, and set the value between 32 to 256. You can also resize thumbnail images using various free software and online tools. Additionally, changing the thumbnail or icon image of a folder in Windows 11 can be done by right-clicking on the folder, selecting Properties, moving to the Customize tab, clicking on Change under Folder icons, selecting an image, and pressing Apply > OK.
