Fixing the Unknown 0x80040605 Error in Outlook on Windows 11

This error usually occurs when users try to access their account settings under the Data files tab in Outlook. The issue may arise due to corrupted Outlook profiles or data files. Here are some fixes to resolve the problem:

1. Repair Outlook Data files: If the cause of the issue is corrupted Outlook Data files, repairing them may help.

2. Create a new Outlook profile: If the Outlook profile is corrupted, deleting it and creating a new profile may resolve the problem. Follow the instructions in the Mail Setup window to add your account to the new profile.

3. Export the Registry key: Some users encounter the Unknown error 0x80040605 while exporting the Outlook .PST file. In such cases, exporting the Profiles key from the Registry Editor and merging it with the Registry on another computer may help.
